Brodie Hayes is a former rodeo star, now a rancher--a cowboy, through and through. But when he finds out some shocking news about the circumstances of his birth, he begins to question his identity. Luckily, private investigator Alexandra Donovan is there to help him find the truth about who he is. Along the way, he discovers that even a man who thought he'd be alone for the rest of his life can fall in love.

For Brodie, love was something you did once--and for always. But is Alex the type of woman who can take on a stubborn man like him? Because there's one thing about him that will never change, no matter what they find out about his past--once a cowboy, always a cowboy.

I am a big Linda Warren fan. I love all of her books and this one is no exception.

There Needs To Be A Sequel: Nattie Is Awesome

Review by Kara Rhodes, 2010-07-28

Typical romance novel. Pretty, thin girl meets gorgeous, successful guy. Went fast. Typical characters. Exactly what I expected.

However. The main characters Grandma needs her own book series; ADVENTURES WITH NETTIE because Nettie was awesome.

great, quick read

just like any other HQ romance novel, it was a great and quick read. perfect for summer day at the beach. i would definately recommend, and the price was right! :)

Really surprised this book is getting such high ratings

Review by A. McGee, 2010-07-23

The author tends to "laundry list" unimportant plot points rather than "tell the story", losing much of the emotional punch ... it gets very tedious. The dialog between Brodie and his friends strikes me as unrealistic as does the wild grandmother whose constant use of the term _honey child_ comes across as ackward and forced rather than charming. Alex constantly calling Brodie Cowboy also strikes me as ackward for that character. The book is so full of cliche's, I'm wondering if it's the author's first book. If so, good job ... if not, go to a writer's workshop and pick up some story telling skills.

Once A Cowboy-Great book

Heart warming story that is hard to put down. I loved it and was sad to see story end.
