"You can't kill the boogeyman," explains John Carpenter in Halloween, and to prove it he brings Michael Myers back in this handsome but grisly sequel. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode but spends most of her time cowering in a hospital gown, and Donald Pleasence runs around like a maniac as the panicky doctor desperate to hunt down Myers before he kills again. Carpenter writes and produces with partner Debra Hill, and together they replace the mystery and uncertainty of the original with an exponentially bigger body count and some strange tales about the Druids and pagan ceremonies, and the now-familiar family ties between Michael and Laurie. First-time director Rick Rosenthal (Bad Boys) paces the film at a brisk jog and directs it with a clean, crisp style, taking the murders out of the dark to display them in all their nasty detail. --Sean Axmaker

This is one of my favorite horror sequels of all time and to me is the best in the Halloween series. The origional was good, but this one... WOW! There's just not enough good things I can say about this movie. The acting was great, it had a lot more blood than the origional, and it was really suspenseful. If you haven't seen it than take my advice and BUY THIS MOVIE!

I'm sure this is a sequel most people really were excited for, mainly due to the success of the first film back in 1978.
Alot of people probably had various thoughts on what this sequel would be about. Basically, it takes place in a hospital, with most of the same characters. Loomis, Laurie Strode, & of course Michael. I find the DVD cover more intresting than the first. The first just showed a jack-o-lantern holding a knife, this one shows a shadow mask with Laurie in the eyeball.
The story just is basically this: Michael Myers is back, now hes in hospital clinic, trying to hunt Jaime Lee Curtis' character again. To me a hospital is a cool setting for a horror movie, and quite a few take place in them.
The end is badass and climactic.
So Halloween 2 gets a good responce from me!
But now let me talk about something else. "Halloween II: The Ultimate Cut". I own a bootleg DVD of Halloween 2 wih that title. It is a workprint slash tv version of Halloween 2. To me, it contains great footage, and an added scene to the ending. The cover showed a jack-o-lantern with the face of a skull. The DVD also shows some added deleted scenes that were for whatever reason cut out in the final release, so I'd try to research to Ultimate Cut and check it out of I were you, if you could find it anywhere.

Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis star in this 1981 horror sequel.
A doctor continues to hunt an escaped killer targeting a girl at a
hospital. This is a great sequel and should've been the last. This
dvd has good picture and sound, but only a trailer. I recommend
this for your horror collection.

This movie was great. It had killing and stabbing which I loved. Only watch this one,Halloween,And Halloween H20 for the Laurie Strode story line ignore resurrection it was one of the dumbest movies made with Laurie Strode. Also for the Jamie Lloyd story line only watch Halloween 4 and 5 do not watch the 6th one it went nowhere they make Jamie's character ignorant and not her. Now that is the Halloween series their are no more good Halloweens besides these 5.
