My cat is a little different in that she is not a fan of cat nip or store bought toys generally. She goes for a cardboard box, aluminum foil ball, string, or a USB cable when she can find it. I had noticed her interest in chasing lights and thought we would give the Bergen Star Chaser a try. What a good idea that was - Kitty will not stop playing! I hear her in the middle of the night patting the ball around, she just randomly walks by it and starts batting the ball. I have never seen her more excited for a toy. This was the best investment I could have made. Thank you Bergen for such a great toy!
Finally! A toy that my cats keep coming back to!

I have two 8 year old cats. Other toys kept their interest for maybe a couple days. After 3 months, there isn't a day goes by where they don't play with this. The use both the scratching pad and the turbo ball all the time so it is really 2 toys in one. One of our cats has claimed ownership of it so the other doesn't get to use it as much so we will be getting a second to eliminate the squabbling over who gets to use it! We'll often find one of the cats lounging on top of it. And sometimes at 2 in the morning you hear Whoosh...Whoosh....Whoosh in the other room as the ball spins around. They really just love it. We did have an issue with the blinky ball. It was DOA when we got it so we had to return to Amazon for a replacement. And, it happened with the second one we got too so eventually amazon just gave us a credit to get a replacement ball and now it works fine. For that reason alone, it can't warrant 5 stars. Seems like a quality issue on the blinky balls (seems other reviewers had similar problems). But the joy our cats get out of it is definitely 5 stars. And even when the ball doesn't blink, they still love it.

Great toy - bad LED

I bought 2 of these. Our new kitten is very exciting to use her little claws on my rugs so I needed a good distraction. The kitten absolutely loves this. She has been playing with it for 15 minutes straight. Our older cat also liked it, but seemed to really like the catnip. She's laying on her back in a drug-induced state.
Anyway, this thing is great except that the LED is burnt out in one of them. Other one works great. My guess is that some of these have been in stock for too long. I think they need a "buy by" date on them! Now I need to get a replacement ball....
Some cats do, some don't

This well made cat toy wasn't of any interest to my 10 yr. old Siamese even after many attempts to train her how to use it with many treats. But my daughter's two 5 month old kittens found it lots of fun right from the start.
